We spent Easter weekend in Maine with my mom and had a great time! Bob and I have decided that Bar Harbor is one of our very favorite places and we're happy to go there any chance we can. We are actually going to spend our honeymoon there in October - we've booked a few nights at the
Bar Harbor Inn and we are really excited. On the Saturday of Easter weekend Bob, Mom and I spent the afternoon in Bar Harbor - lunch at Geddy's (one of the only eateries open in the off-season), then a walk around the park and the pier. The weather was beautiful and we were all very happy to be there.
The other highlight of the weekend (for Bob anyway) was lobster. He and Mom had lobster on Saturday night and they were both in heaven. No lobster for this vegetarian, but I'm glad Bob enjoyed his. He is a big fan of lobster, so I think that is another reason why he loves Bar Harbor and the coast of Maine so much - lots of opportunity for fresh lobster!
