Bob spent 10 years of his childhood living in Barnstead. He's taken me out there a couple of times to show me where he lived and to check out Lougee Pond. This beautiful pond is basically across the road from the house he lived in and he and his brothers and sister spent a huge part of their childhood swimming, fishing and playing at this pond.
We decided to go there this weekend and see what it was like. The first day we went it was kind of chilly, so we just put our feet in the water and checked out the loon. It was incredibly gorgeous and so very peaceful (we were the only ones there). We both loved being there!
On Saturday we decided we would try swimming at Lougee Pond since it was so warm. We ended up buying tubes and spent a couple of hours floating around the pond. It was so much fun! The water was the perfect temperature and it was so relaxing to just float around and enjoy the water and the sun. We're already planning on going back tomorrow and using our tubes again!
